MARLOTHERM heat transfer fluids are suitable for indirect
heating and cooling applications from -80 °C to 360 °C.
The optimum use range varies for each member of the
MARLOTHERM product family based on thermal stability and
other design factors. The MARLOTHERM
heat transfer general bulletin includes helpful usage and
design information. Our individual product
bulletins, available for download on this website,
will help you select the correct heat transfer fluid to
match your conditions.
MARLOTHERM FP (NAFTA only)
is an economical, non-toxic heat transfer fluid with an
aliphatic chemical structure. It is for indirect heating and
cooling in the temperature range of 140 °C to 300 °C with
excellent thermal and oxidative stability.
MARLOTHERM LH
is the ideal heat transfer fluid for heating and
cooling processes, thanks to its favorable viscosity
characteristics. It provides excellent heat
transfer in commonly used heat exchangers down to
temperatures of approximately 0 °C and can even be
used at temperatures as low as approximately -20 °C in
heat exchangers with somewhat larger heat exchanging
surface areas.
MARLOTHERM N
is a cost-efficient synthetic heat transfer fluid based
on alkyl benzene. It can be used in the
temperature range of 140 °C to 300 °C.
MARLOTHERM N has a higher thermal stability than
conventional mineral oil-based heat transfer
fluids. Unlike these, it forms no viscous
or solid deposits. Provided it is properly
used, there is no risk of the heat transfer circuit
becoming obstructed.
MARLOTHERM SH
is an efficient
synthetic heat transfer fluid that can be used for any
application employing a nonpressurized system.
It is suitable for continuous operation at supply
temperatures of up to 350 °C and film temperatures of
up to 380 °C. MARLOTHERM SH is thermally stable at
operating temperatures of 300-310 °C, and can be used
over extended periods within this temperature range
without undergoing any significant changes.
MARLOTHERM X
is a synthetic heat transfer fluid based on alkyl
benzene. It was specially developed for use in the
liquid phase at operating temperatures from around -80 °C
to 180 °C. It possesses excellent physical and caloric
properties over the entire application range.
MARLOTHERM X can be used in pressurized plants in the
liquid phase and in the vapor/liquid phase at operating
temperatures of up to 300 °C.
ILEXAN PSA Additive (NAFTA only)
Provides Power Solvency Action for problem solving in heat
transfer system containing thermally and/or oxidatively degraded
"hot oils" or synthetic heat transfer fluids. It can extend
the useful life of a degraded charge by improving the turbulent
flow. Plus, it cleans the heat transfer system while operating
before change out draining, thereby reducing or eliminating the need for flushing.
